My Best Friend

I don't have many friends, to be sincere. Normally, I make a few but really good friends. I can't say I have a best friend, because I don't like classifications, but I'm going to talk about the friend that has being so for longer, Roxana (alias Poxy).

We know each other since we were 5 years old, on Kinder garden. We were friends, but not really close. You know, when one is this young, one doesn't really think about this stuff. We used to play hide and seek, and things like that.

When we grew older, we became really close, and she was one of the few friends that sticked by my side during the most difficult moments of my life, and so I sticked to her when she was going through a really bad period of her life.

When I changed school, we kept in contact, and the friendship didn't change at all. Nowadays, we go to the same University. She's studying English Literature and I'm studying Journalism.

I consider her a really good friend because she's always there for me, no matter what. She even gave me the keys of her house for when I needed to step by, or if I just wanted to rest for a while.

The best memory I have with her, is when we went to Lollapalooza last year, because we really had a great time, we laughed a lot.

Last time I saw her was last week, and we went to a park to chat a little, and then we ate at Burger King. I may visit her this week, and watch the movie "her" in her house while we eat chocolate, as usual.

I attach a picture of two pugs, because this is one of her favorite animals, she goes crazy when she sees one.

The best concert I've had

One of the best concerts I've had was Lollapalooza festival. I went last year, and it was awesome.

I remember that the first time that the show was in our country, I really wanted to go, but I didn't have the money to pay for the tickets. Something similar happened the second year. When I knew there would be a third edition on april 2013, I thought that the story maybe the same as the other years, but when the line up was published I told myself that I couldn't be absent: the Red Hot Chili Peppers would be on stage! I worked all summer to afford the tickets, and I made it, I went to the festival.

I bought a two day ticket. The first day I went with one of my best friends, Roxana, And I had a great time, because she showed me a lot of bands that were playing in Parque O'higgins. They were pretty good, but I was expecting my favorite band. When the time came, I was nervous waiting between a big crowd. Then, suddenly, Anthony appeared on stage and I start shouting like I was nuts. But, during the concert, I realize that they weren't as good as I imagined, they let me down. At the end, I was really bored, because their show wasn't as crazy as I thought it would be. Actually, I would say that it was as if I was listening to my mp3 all the time, nothing really new happened.

I went with my boyfriend the second day. We had a really good time, and we listened to Casablancas and Johny Marr. But the show I liked the most, was Arcades Fire's. They were original, and the sound was perfect.

I like the experience in Lolla because I got to know a lot of bands that normally I wouldn't have payed attention before, so it made me grow in some way. Also I like it because I went with two really important people in my life, and we had a great time.

A place I would like to visit

There are many countries I would like to visit, and one of them is Germany. Please don't think I'm a nazi, because when someone says Germany, the first thing that comes to everyone's mind is Adolf Hitler. But I think that this country is more than a bunch of people that killed millions of jews. The architecture is beautiful (based on pictures that I've seen of Berlín) and the food is amazing. But what attracts me the most is it's history. The buildings and the museums that the second world war left are really interesting, and I find fascinating how the ideology of the people changed in such a short period of time. If I ever have the luck of being there, I would like to visit every historic building that exists in Germany. Even though I like the country, I wouldn't live there. I think that if I have to much of this place I will get bored and I wouldn't appreciate what's around me. So, I would go on vacations and stay for one or two months.

Semester 2 level 4

My name is Paula. I'm nineteen years old and I'm from Colina, but nowadays I'm living in Ñuñoa. I study journalism in Universidad de Chile, and currently I'm cursing the first year of this career.

I've got a big family: Mom and dad (who are still married) had five children, and I'm the oldest. I have two younger brothers and two younger sisters.

I like going out and having a good time. I hate staying at home and do nothing, so I try to hang out almost everyday. I go out with my boyfriend most of the time. Apart from being my couple, he is my best friend. Sometimes I go out with my friends too, and we usually go to have a drink somewhere.
When I stay at home, I like to spend time on the computer (tumblr, to be more specific), and occasionally I play the guitar.

I have studied english since I was four. My parents wanted me to be prepared for the future, so they payed a teacher to teach someone this young.
My weakness is the use of have. I don't know why I'm not able to use it properly, and if I have to use it, I think twice before I do it.

Regards :)
